Friday afternoons, participants in the Adult Day Services program get together to create various pieces of writing. Last week, staff member Jennifer Felberg led a limerick-writing session. Here are the first five of 11 limericks that the participants collectively put together; each describes a fellow program participant.
Enjoy!
Shirley
Here with us is wonderful Shirley
She can get away without her hair being curly
When she plays a game
She leaves her opponents lame
So she gets up bright and early
Ruth G.
Ruth is here with us today
So no one stand in her way
She’s quite easy going
And seems ever knowing
Well, what more can we say
John
Here stands our good man named John
He shows up every morning at dawn
Although it’s quite early
He always has a smile going on
Grace
We love our fair princess Grace
No measurement of time and space
Her congenial wit
We love quite a bit
Could chart the beauty on her face
Ardell
Ardell is the person to meet
Her personality is so sweet
When she takes a nap
All the towns people clap
And our sunshine club is complete
